Soldiers will always be ordered to 'close with the enemy through fire and maneuver to kill him' and hold the territory until relieved.

3) Trump is asking for money to re-outfit the military and get around the pork spending by Congress. I don't disagree that there are areas to cut in the budget but CONGRESS won't do it. They earmark specific money for programs the military has said they don't need. They than DON'T provide the money to MAINTAIN the existing equipment and provide for adequate training of the soldiers.

If Trump had a line item veto, he could fix that. But since Dems challenged that, he cannot.
