a failure who couldn't coach at this level. If Kim would have won enough to save his job here could he have attracted Porter? Possibly? But he wasn't going to attract him here if our AD had made the worst choice in the world and retained him after an 8 win season.
Basically what your saying is "If Kim wasn't the worst coach in the program's history and won enough to get a 4th year, Porter may have come back." Porter coming back to coach with Kim isn't that crazy of an idea. Kim winning anything more than 10 games in a year is the more outlandish thought in this whole scenario.
