He is currently the head coach of Memphis East, the #2 nationally ranked high school in the nation that just won a state title at 33-3. They have a 5* sophomore on their team, and their best player Alex Lomax was the first player that Cuonzo has offered since taking over the job. Hardaway led the program to a 65-5 record thus far through 2 seasons since taking over. They played 9 games this year against nationally ranked high school opponents.
