and wasn't close to any of the other players. There was a lot of boneheads on the team at the time if you remember, so I can't blame him. I think that's part of what Kim was talking about during his farewell address. I think it's possible we don't know how much crap those players were into and how bad the culture was in the program when he got there. Remember when those two players had their apartment raided and their roommates were arrested? The players only got tagged for drug paraphernalia or something like that. But, why the heck were those players rooming with those guys? Were they rooming with dealers so they could get cheap drugs? That had a really bad look to it and there might have been a lot more there we don't know about. He knew he had to drive out the bad element, which also meant driving out a lot of talent, which meant having a perpetually young team and it just spiraled. I'm not saying firing him was the wrong choice, because I think it was the right choice, but it is also possible Kim didn't have much of a chance.
