us $40+ million per year now, and they expect us to spend that money on top coaches who help make the SEC a competitive league. And commissioner Sankey has placed a new emphasis on hiring top basketball coaches, so they are practically demanding it now.
With that said, our administration has failed us time and time again, so it wouldn't surprise me if what you're saying happens. They always seem to hire the wrong guy for one reason or another. Hired Quin when they should've hired Self. Hired MA when they should've hired Huggins. Hired Haith when they should've hired Cuonzo. Hired Kim when they should've hired Howland.
All we can do is hope that Sterk isn't as incompetent as his predecessors were.
