gun crime (or other violent crime), involved in another serious gun crime/shooting?
VonDerrit Myers was not only out on a monitored release with a GPS ankle bracelet, he was pictured on Facebook holding the stolen handgun everyone accused the police of planting on him.
And believe it or not, police do know many of the frequent fliers in their districts. I could spot one of the University's gaggle of common juvenile thieves who lived to steal the campus blind. I saw one on a bicycle and went to stop him, but lost him downtown in "The Loop" because I wasn't about to put myself or anyone at risk driving the wrong way on a one way street to catch him
Had one of his running buddies stopped for something a few months later and he told me "you remember chasing Charles Anthony (Coates) on that 10-speed? That was a bike he just stole on campus."
