team. I coached him in football he was one of the best QBs in the KC area. He took us all the way to the State Semi Finals VS Cassville in 2009. So I can say I watched the National Championship game and have a little insight about that team. The kid I am talking about transferred in from Moberly and was tough as nails on D he rebounded well and drove the ball to the basket a lot. The other kids on the team had a lot of the same characteristics played really good D and were tough ball players. KA played a lot of players and the kids bought into their role. I have been watching MU basketball since I can remember and that UCM team reminds me of an Old School basketball team. So to answer your question A Recruiting is why he won that Championship. He brought in tough minded unselfish players and it all worked for him. That type of team doesn't work in Division 1 basketball. As we see on a nightly basis we cant SCORE enough points to win the game. It doesn't matter how tough we are or how well we play D KA has not recruited players that can score. In Division II you can get away with his recruiting formula and win a Championship.
