poor whites across America DO have white privilege? If that is so they either really suck at wielding that privilege or maybe they just enjoy abject poverty.
There is no such thing white privilege. There most definitely is social privilege. If I as a middle class white man walk into a middle class business looking for a job am I more likely to be hired than the poor black guy who is also applying? Of course I am, but I am also much more likely to be hired than the poor white guy too.
But the black guy who went to the same college as the employer is also more likely to be hired than some average white schmoo walking in off the street. That is social privilege.
