If team A crushes team B (e.g. 77-3), then a scores-based predictor will not like team B due to the scoring differential (many points allowed, few points scored) i.e. margin. You're basically arguing semantics. The margin of loss/victory (scoring differential) is absolutely factored into BOTH components of the Sagarin composite.
I'm not sure how I can make this more clear for you to understand.
