I didn't see this one coming. I had pencilled this one in as a loss, being on the road against a top 20 team.
Now the end game in the SEC conference is much clearer.
Mizzou and Florida are going to each win out against everyone else, and the winner of our showdown with the Gators in Columbia will be the undisputed SEC champion for 2016 with a 17-1 record. The loser of that game will tie with Kentucky for 2nd in the conference at 16-2 (UK won't lose again this year).
And TAMU finishes 4th.
Those are the only 4 SEC teams who will make the NCAA tournament.
Hard to believe Mizzou won't finally crack the top 25 in the poll now. Have to see what the 4-5 teams in front of them do this week. But at the very least we will be ranked ahead of Kentucky now, and deservedly so.
And our RPI should get a boost from the current #18.
