to his local school b/c there is far more money going to kentucky, notre dame or any other school that make greater than ususal clothing sales and have bigger national pictures. when you start paying the players directly and the amount is directly dependent upon their school's revenue, the talent gap b/t the haves and have nots would ruin any competitive balance

it's not workable.
