The power in women's volleyball is not in the SEC by any means.
If you just look at the current top 25 poll, the BIG has 9 teams, PAC 12 has 6 teams (plus numbers 26, 27, and 28), and no other conference has more than 2 teams ranked. SEC, ACC, and Big 12 each have 2 teams ranked.
Mizzou has a ways to go before they could compete for a first division finish in the top 2 conferences. If we play really well the rest of the way and split our 4 toughest conference games against UK (twice), Florida, and TAMU I think we could finish somewhere between 20-25 in the national polls, but that's the ceiling I'm afraid. The competition is just brutal with the power situated in the BIG and PAC 12. Similar to the situation with the SEC and PAC 12 dominating college softball. It's hard for other conferences to break multiples of teams into the top 25.
