They knocked off a ranked Michigan team a few weeks ago. But that's our 'signature win' at this point. Not good.

The other thing is the initial RPI in any sport is a little suspect, as teams just haven't played many matches yet. And with RPIs there are going to be anomalies. Will be interesting to see if we can stay in the 20s after another month. For example, we would get whipped right now by several teams below us, like Ohio State and Penn State. OSU just whipped former #1 Nebraska in Lincoln. This Mizzou team has some talent and potential but isn't anything close to being able to beat a Nebraska on the road.

There are a few really strange things in the initial RPI. Like Kansas being #6 in the latest poll but only #39 in RPI. And Illinois being #24 in the poll and 54 in the RPI. In the case of KU, they are grossly over rated. Yeah, they are good. Just not even top 20 IMO. They have faced an awful schedule, got whipped by the two best teams they faced, and barely beat an Arkansas team that Mizzou swept. Illinois on the other hand is a top 30 team, in no way close to their initial RPI ranking.

And regarding polls, Mizzou again gets no votes this week. We have no respect, and frankly, don't deserve it yet. We need to go 3-2 against Florida, Kentucky, TAMU, and Alabama in a big way.

     Pitt has a higher RPI than I thought. That's a solid win, - BigMo89 MU - 10/3 19:25:35
