All of the violence among them on the one hand, but a collective victimhood, us v. them mentality on the other.
My personal opinion is that the lack of strong parenting in the black community has been an epidemic, along with other things like violent crime, rampant drug use / sale of drugs, poor schooling, but that the parenting epidemic is the biggest single contributing factor to why black children grow up often to be non-productive members of society.
There is also an almost revolting dislike among black people for things that most other people consider normal and productive. Doing well in school, being actively involved with your child's education and well being, avoiding having children out of wedlock, staying out of trouble.
Just in general, when I look at black society, I see either no values being upheld or the completely wrong values being worshipped (drugs, being a "gangsta").
No one can talk about it, but much of the black community is mad over things that it has collectively self-inflicted upon itself.
