And sure Pete gave him as much notice as possible so he could start looking around. This really is going to be a critical hire, or hires. Will be interested to see if he brings in a top notch assistant from another elite program to replace Pete, and a pitching specialist, to also replace Gillis. Or looks for both in one person. Might be a good move after the crap that went on to pull in an elite pitcher from the past 5-10 years to work with the pitching staff. There are a lot of them around who have gotten into coaching. And I'm not talking Chelsea either. We are going to be very young there the next few years. Critical to get a great pitching specialist to mentor the new pitchers.
