There might be some that take it a little far, but the reality is that he's a complete unknown. It's fair to question him until we see him actually play.
Lock had a terrible debut, but there are multiple reasons why he flew up the depth chart so quickly last year despite not participating in the spring under the old staff, and the fact that the new staff was heavily invested in finding multiple QB's this spring. Yes, they wanted someone to compete with Lock. But they weren't sold/invested in any of the other guys, either.
I think Printz saw the writing on the wall. On the other hand, it's actually fortunate that MZ stayed, because neither Lowary or Wilson are ready to go at this point.
