Played golf today with 7 others in our regular group. Mostly all middle management IT types. Got to talking politics, which is a little unusual. Of 8, 6 are long time republicans and two identify as independents. Of the 8, only 2 said they were definitely voting Trump at this point. 4 (including both independents) said they were definitely voting Clinton, and 2 were undecided, one leaning each way. So if the election were held today, the vote would be 5 for Clinton and 3 for Trump. So then asked how the wives would vote. Only 7 are married. Guesses were 5 Clinton and 2 Trump.
And this is in Texas. Discussion really boiled down to don't trust Clinton, but what can she really get away with as President, vs. intellectual and demeanor issues with Trump posing a greater risk. Will be very interesting to see the polls over the next couple of weeks.
