until after Bobby Kennedy was shot. The reason I can remember that is hearing my neighbor tell my dad about the shooting the morning after it happened because my bedroom window was open and I was just waking up.


We used to head into my parent's bedroom and sleep on the floor since they had a window unit. And we had a separate kitchen/dining area in the basement, where it was a bit cooler.
