The theory is that the players he did not recruit, and every single one of them, were malcontents, bad actors and basically uncoachable rogues. What they never explain is why these very same players received significant minutes and were never benched or disciplined during games, remained in the starting lineup throughout the season, etc.
Another common theme is that KA did not recruit Allen or Isabell even though KA has admitted in interviews that the previous staff had no connections with either. They would have us believe that Tim Fuller, or Alden, or some mysterious force simply required him to take them beyond his control.
Their final theme is to harshly criticize guys who played under Haith (they have particular disdain for transfers like Clarkson and Jabari Brown and Earnest Ross) even though these same players would be far and away the best players on our current team and played on teams, while perhaps disappointing to some degree, were actually competitive and would blow out our current team by 20-30 points every night.
There are plenty of other themes: KA inherited the worst roster in basketball history'; the invisible self-imposed sanctions have crippled us'; we play very hard every game but simply miss a lot of shots because we are unlucky, etc......
