in regards to bank competition

I do not understand how everyone says there is no competition for banking.

Within a 20 mile radius of my house, I can easily find at least 20 different banks....if you go to Canada, there are like 4 in the whole country.

Heck..today, I bank with 4 different banks with different strategies on each.

breaking up the banks is not the answer...that will do nothing...the answer is giving them some freedom to compete...with different offerings, services, etc.
