I have scars on my back from having the scientific method beaten into me in school. When I'm called anti-science from someone who may have taken a basic science class in high school I wear it as a badge of honor.
Not too long ago, there was a popular website called I F*cking Love Science (yes, with the asterisk). As I used to say, people don't love science, they have technology and things that sound sciency, if only so they can use it as a bludgeon against people who don't believe like they do.
