Gargles in the rat race choir - metaphor of an unending competitive struggle in an unharmonious choir by one who doesn’t conform.
Bent out of shape from society’s pliers, - society’s pliers being what tries to make a person fit a mold. Trump’s first term was hampered by unprecedented attempts to apply pressure to force him to conform to political status quo. This continued while he was out of office.
Cares not to come up any higher / But rather get you down in the hole / That he’s in - Trump’s response in his second term is to use the same tactics against his opponents that were used on him.
