and the term is common. I don't know who the "one guy" is you are referring to. If you re-watch the Memphis game from 1999 Kirk Farmer used it for the clinching touchdown to the tight end. It comes out in AI as a description for the play. Go ahead and Google "option pass."

The term is frequently used. And in reality you don't know it is a fake or not. The QB could easily have the decision to not pull back and throw but go ahead run it. And come on. It's a freakin' term in football. Why are so upset about it?
