1. He cannot out-Trump Trump, I don't think. Nobody can. The best he could do would be a sacrificial bulldozer that would pave the way for an entirely new conversation. Which I don't think is his intent.

2. If he's doing this to run for president in 2028, he should know he's not going to be running against Trump.
