I don’t need to have a position on “what he meant” when I point out that what he said wasn’t a call for violence or that he didn’t call for Chicagoans to “rise up and fight tyranny.”

“The people of this city are accustomed to rising up against tyranny, and if that’s necessary I believe that the people of Chicago will stand firm along side of me as I work every single day to protect the people of this city.”
