I am an Army Brat and retired Army officer....Old man did 2 tours in VN. HS/College girlfriend's father was at X-Ray. Good friend of the famiy earned the 1st MOH in Vietnam.

I was commissioned in 1980. Regular Army officer for Grenada (82nd) & Panama (7th LID)... 2 years in ROK with 2ID.... recalled to active duty for Desert Shield/Storm. Retired as O-5 in 2000 from the Reserves

Perhaps you should educate yourself on the Vietnam War. The origins. How the US Navy now admits the Tonkin Gulf "Incident" was a work of fiction. Why the US did not emerge victorious and how the US military was failed by LBJ and how the US military failed LBJ.
