their personal contributions but everything past that was never actually theirs.
I taught in KCMO for 20 yrs and am currently drawing from that pension system. In just over two years I have already drawn more from the system than I personally put in.
Pensions are sustainable as long as the matching funds are added on schedule and nothing else is tapping into the fund. As screwed up as the KC school district is they have a very stable pension system.
