KU got to keep their '88 Basketball Naty after being got w/ multiple violations. They got two years probation, but got to keep their Naty. Now Michigan will get fined and Moore will be suspended for three games (two of the games are warmup games, but the OU game could hurt) but they still keep their Naty.

I'd say it turned out to be worth it in both instances.
