probably just remain a surface parking lot for now, but...

Lees Summit wants to close that elementary school next door. Building is old and will cost a fortune to renovate. I could see them tearing down that elementaring, and combined with the 2 parking lots adjoining thats a HUGE prime piece of real estate that will likely be turned into something more profitable at some point.

But everyone that actually lives near DTLS is throwing a fit about getting rid of that elementary, as whatever the alternative would be would no longer be walkable for those kids. They'd get bussed off to another nearby elementary
