My mother texted me earlier this week to call her (fortunately she said good news so as to not scare me).

She had gone to the bank to clean out here safety deposit box, and found a bunch of old savings bonds from my grandmother when I was in high school and college.

Just ran them through online calculator and 9 of them worth almost $750. The low interest of COVID years really killed the value of the later ones.
