Suffolk County Sheriff Steven Tompkins was arrested on August 8, 2025, but the charges were related to federal extortion. He’s accused of extorting $50,000 from a cannabis company executive using his official position. If someone doesn’t want to honor their oath and work with ICE they should fully be investigated to see if they have a reason like this! Bye bye to this wolf in sheepdog clothing who is a dishonor to the badge!
