currently investigating the Epstein case, seeking to subpoena the DOJ for files and schedule a deposition with Ghislaine Maxwell.
Additionally, the Senate Finance Committee, led by Senator Ron Wyden, has called for a "follow the money" investigation into financial transactions linked to Epstein, urging the DOJ and FBI to examine suspicious bank activities.
Internationally, the Paris prosecutor's office opened a preliminary investigation in August 2019 into Epstein for alleged crimes involving minors and criminal associations, particularly focusing on potential offenses against French citizens.
fwiw, I think theHouse Oversight & Gov't Reform Committe investigation is largely a sham investigation intended to appease the masses. It will never truly go after the Deep State powers that were bankrolling Epstein & pulling his strings, nor will they truly investigate who killed him, or pretended to kill him as the case may be.
I think Sen Wyden would truly try and follow the money, but might be dissuaded by an offer he can't refuse from doing so if it ever really came to that... but I think they will continue to stonewall and roadblock his investigation, so the "offer you can't refuse" may not be needed.
I'm guessing that the Paris prosecutor's office investigation will go nowhere significant either, though they may get a sacrificial lamb or two to appease and distract the people a bit.
