4 top 100 prospects in MLB ratings, including a top 10 and #34 Liam Doyle.
Winn, Donavon, Herrera, and Contreras form a decent nucleus. Wetherholt willl be starting somewhere next season. Key player is Victor Scott, he’s fantastic in CF, but can he hit .270 and score 90 runs? If so you have a quality MLB player. Walker could still be a middle of the order bat.
They have 3 highly regarded catchers in the minor leagues. Crooks at Memphis has more RBI’s than anyone on the active Cardinals roster. He may be next years catcher, or Bernal at Springfield is also a possibility.
We don’t have near enough pitching. That’s where they must become much better.
It gets old watching a team that has several underachievers.
Hopefully Chaim Bloom will be allowed to make some helpful and significant trades. Maybe sign an international free agent.
Agree though, we are in need of help in several significant areas.
