The point of deploying the NG was to release the cops from routine patrol duties and allow them to concentrate more officers within the crime prone areas of D.C. I'm not sure a traffic checkpoint in this area was the best use of their resources. The cops know the danger zones and where the bad guys hang out. Maybe they are in CYA mode or worse, survival mode and are avoiding those areas.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
