people are just people who happened to lose their jobs. Anecdotal incidents of this for sure but by and large those types of people are able to find friends and relatives to temporarily house them and those people actually make use of social safety nets

the other 99.9% of homeless are drug/alcohol addicts or mentally ill and usually a combo of all 3.
