I remember applying for jobs and having to compete against black or hispanic females who had never set foot in the outdoors. So based on DEI hiring standards (before DEI was a thing) these women were hired into the system and never spent time in Yosemite, Yellowstone or Ranier. Great hires for JNEM and other urban parks and historic sites.
