The “rivalry” doesn’t just exist on TB.

We must have been in Columbia at different times. When I was there, I learned that most of my Cards friends hated the Royals because of 1985 even though it was 15+ years in the past and I was 2 when it happened. Cards fans talked endless **** to me and my friends for being Royals fans. I never thought twice about STL and loved the city because I grew up playing hockey and it was a hockey town.

Now, many StL folks act like the rivalry only exist on the KC side and that’s the opposite of my experience in college.

I think 2006 and then 2011 went a long way toward ending any hatred of the Royals from a segment of Cards fans.
