cannot be a liberal. This is a lie that has been long told.

A person can be conservative in that they value certain traditions, like a nuclear family as the best for raising children, they can value religion, be skeptical of rapid social changes and yet also be pro-choice, pro same sex marriage and also support social safety nets and pro-worker laws.

There is no party for such a person in America today.
