Hell little ol' me got asked to go to Mexico in 2015 to work with the Federales on counter drug operations. i promptly turned that down despite the pay being quite lucrative.
when I was in the Army I got a temporary duty assignment at US Naval Amphibious Base Coronado and my assignment was to go to the border everyday and do counter drug insurgency operations.
at most all we would be doing is expanding things you don't know that we already do.
