Keeping them in an economic twilight zone assuring that they remain nothing more than indentured servants is not loving your neighbor.

Using government regulation to destroy their families is not loving your neighbor.

Shielding the criminal element from justice so they can continue to prey on those without a voice is not loving your neighbor.

If you love your neighbor you will help him get on a path to self-sufficiency. Help him become a part of your community. See to it that his children are given all the tools to be a happy productive citizen. That's how you show love to a neighbor. Notice none of that is condescending, none of that is about my ego and none of that requires any chest thumping on my part.
