The idea that it was all a hoax is absurd.

The idea that it was just info about Trump doesn't really hold water either.

Spoiler alert: it was all sponsored by and protected by the intelligence community, probably the CIA, MI6 & Mossad and there was no way they were going to allow that to come out.

It would be catastrophic for them if it confirmed for the public the allegations of the conspiracy theorists about how ruthless & evil they are.
