arizona state blended athletics into the greater university budget for this very reason. it no longer could stand independent of the school financially. isu has asked for similar support from the school and if not directly from the state legislature budget. their a.d. has said the program cannot otherwise compete with iowa and others in the b10 and sec. land grant iowa state is a bigger school than iowa.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
