beer swilling, bad haircut Warren Powers was a mediocre coach who rode a win by the Throwin' Samoan Jack Thompson over Nebraska at Washington State in 1977 to the MU job.

And if Warren's beer drinking and making himself look like a fool in front of influential alums and boosters wasn't bad enough, they took it to the next level of boorish behavior with the next guy the hired.
