despite no military attacking the mainland US. Even with the vast resources of a nation this large, there were restrictions on the population. Food was diverted to feed the military.

Gaza isn’t a vast country. The war is right on top of them. Hamas is basically their military, so if the US rationed its great resources to keep the military fed, is it surprising when someone else does it too?
