golf game improves when it gets hotter. The ball just goes so much further and when you're old like me it's a lot easier to get loose and stay loose when it's really hot out. I've gone from hitting a 7I 155 in April when it was cold to 170 in July when it's hot just from the ball flying so much farther and not being bundled up with a jacket on. Then you add in the fairways getting firmer and some par 5's are suddenly reachable again in two.
