say they want to restore US manufacturing and jobs, that Americans will have to pay more for goods because we will tariff imports to encourage buying American. That we will all have less throw away consumer crap because we will not be able to afford as much. But our country will benefit because we will have more stable jobs for Americans and cut the need for social services.

I get that. It’s a plan. It’s asking Americans to sacrifice some consumerism for each other. And we will be less dependent upon foreigners.

But I don’t get the mixed messages.
