A light aircraft crashed because its pilot mixed up his left and right hands, accident investigators have said.
The plane crashed on a road just outside Aston Down airfield in Gloucestershire last August, forcing the closure of the road for several hours.
Both men aboard the Grob 109B motorglider were injured in the Aug 27 2024 accident, with the passenger suffering spinal injuries that resulted in him spending several days in hospital.
“Inappropriate control inputs” by the passenger caused the crash, the Air Accidents Investigation Branch (AAIB) has said.
