In the last 2 months they have faced starting pitchers with ERA's over 4.50 17 times . Their record against the worst pitchers in the league is 3-14 . They scored an average of 2.7 runs in those games . If they were just .500 against bad pitchers, 5 or 6 more wins firmly in control of a wildcard and pushing Detroit. That was one thing this team did well last year, take care of bad teams and bad pitching.
