pretty sure it was June or July, I was wearing shorts, t-shirt. We get to the top and there's some piles of snow around the edges of the parking lot.
I get all excited, seeing snow in the summer for the first time and I jump out of the car and run to the snow pile...and immediately lose the ability to breathe. I thought I was going to die, I'd never been at that kind of altitude before and my first action being a dead-ass sprint across a parking lot was a bad, bad idea.
