The deepest of the deep state . . . .

. . . is the State Department, and it has been that way since at least the 1930s, if not before. From Alger Hiss to the Diem assassination to Clinton Foundation to the modern scandals, the State Department remains corrupt and often acts behind the curtains as a shadow government, with it's own policies at odds with administration policies (yes, whether Republican or Democrat). We've been reading snippets of the present corruption for several months now, but the levels of incomptetence and inefficiency are appalling, even by the low standards of our federal government. This should make every hard working taxpayer's blood boil:
